Bees have been labelled one of the most important insects on Earth.
Why?
Bees are responsible for pollinating approximately one sixth of flowering plant species worldwide and 400 agricultural plant species.
Pollination is the transfer of pollen from the anther - male part, to the stigma - the female part.
This produces seeds, fruit and nuts. Which sustain fauna and humans.
