Climate Change

Climate change has become a well-known global problem. Simple research will find thousands and thousands of information, research projects, blogs and websites relating to this global issue.
Being aware of the science of climate change and what we can do about it to make a difference matters.

The ocean plays a vital role in keeping the earth’s temperature stable. Around a quarter of carbon dioxide from human activities is absorbed by the oceans, and others believe that can be even larger than that. Without the oceans, the world’s temperature would have risen even more than it already has.

However, the oceans have become acidic due to this overabsorption and this has been harmful to marine life, for example, corals which are the most diverse ecosystem on earth. Thus, climate change is a potential threat not just to marine life, but also to human well-being.

All problems and solutions are tied-up. We have the power of choice. We can choose to make decisions towards a sustainable lifestyle by rethinking our actions or we can can choose to ignore the fact that the ocean is dying.
