Project Jonah
Project Jonah New Zealand has been kaitiaki of marine mammals since 1974. They are a registered charity and their vision is to "create a world where these animals are respected and protected."
The forces behind Project Jonah are Daren and Louisa and they rely on volunteers to continue doing the meaningful work they do.
Today I became a Marine Mammal Medic, through attending one of their Marine Mammal Medic Courses.
The course was highly organised, educational and enjoyable! It is one day and is very affordable.
I can not rate my experience with Project Jonah highly enough!
I encourage you to consider undergoing a Marine Mammal Medic Course; find out more at https://www.projectjonah.org.nz/.../Become+a+Marine....
Please consider donating to their charity too at https://secure.flo2cash.co.nz/.../proje.../DonateSecure.aspx.
If you encounter stranded marine mammals please call Project Jonah at 0800 4 WHALE (0800 4 94253) and/or the Department of Conservation at 0800 DOC HOT (0800 362 468).
