Somewhat Green / Part One:

Somewhat Green is one of my favourite hang outs in Invercargill, Southland NZ. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and Kankis.nz Colombian Coffee is consistently delicious; and coffee lovers know coffee is serious business! Read on to learn about Co-Owners Tracey and Claudia.

Q: Tell me about yourself?

A: I am Tracey Oneill, I have two daughters and a partner Grant. I was a teacher of English for 20 years. In 2015, I took a year off teaching and due to having reduced income grew vegetables for the first time, composted and lived a natural life and I think that was the start of my environmental journey. In 2019, I left teaching and I spent a year preparing to start a business; it felt natural to start Somewhat green

I am Claudia, I am from Chile and I have been married to Mauricio for a few years. I have been in New Zealand for five years. I love my nieces and my family and the outdoors - especially paddle boarding and trekking. My passion is travelling to different countries; but COVID meant that I have had to put that on hold and put my energy into my business. I have always had a dream of opening a café, which is how Kankis.nz came about.
