Southland disAbility Enterprises Ltd has been in operation since 1974. Southland disAbility Enterprises is a mechanical recycling facility that employs 82 individuals with disabilities. Their contract with WasteNet is due to end on the 30th of June 2020. Southland and Gore District Councils have stated their preferred tenderer for recycling in the Southland Region is Smart Environmental, while Invercargill City Council support Southland disAbility Enterprises.
