Waituna Beach Rubbish Clean Up

Thank you Danae, Helias, Matt and Dre for braving the wild weather and helping me to collect rubbish at Waituna Beach!

We found the usual offenders - plastic, glass, fishing line and a boot. We also found copious plastic shotgun wads. Fish & Game New Zealand would you consider moving to biodegradable wads? Using biodegradable wads will prevent plastic wads from polluting the oceans. 

I am happy to announce I have joined forces with Sustainable Coastlines! From 2021, I will be working with their initiative Litter Intelligence on rubbish clean ups.
