The 11th of February is International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Founded by Princess Dr. Nisreen El-Hashemite from the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT) in 2015, it is a day to celebrate great women in science, who have paved the way for others from every walk of life.
Today I celebrate Prof Louise Chilvers from Palmerston North, Gillian Wratt from Motueka, Ingrid Visser from Wellington, Beatrice Tinsley from Christchurch and Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson from New York, to name a few.
Women, we've got this!
