Eco Living On A Budget

I am a student and appreciate how difficult eco living can be on a budget.
My top five tips are:
1) Use what you have. The most sustainable and (wallet friendly) action you can take is to utilise what you have.
2) Resurrect your belongings. Repair or repurpose tired looking items.
3) Borrow before buying. Join your local library and swap belongings with your friends.
4) Buy less and choose well. Save money long term by purchasing reusables. First stop, thrift shops! I am wearing a $12 outfit, bought from Wanaka Wastebusters. When purchasing new, prioritise local, ethical, Fairtrade New Zealand or B Corporation certified.
5) Create your own. I make my own Vinegar Green Tea Toner and my own Mosituriser using Go Native Moisturiser Kit. Grow herbs. Plant a vegetable garden and fruit trees.
