Floating Boom

Boyan Slat, founder of The Ocean Cleanup has invented the ‘Floating Boom’. 

The purpose of the Floating Boom is to trap some of the estimated 1.8 trillion pieces of plastic in the Pacific between California and Hawaii. Importantly, the tapered 3 metre deep screen has been designed to allow marine life safe passage beneath it.
