Invercargill Estuary Walkway Rubbish Clean Up

We are kaitiaki of Invercargill Estuary.
Thank you to the wonderful people who came out and helped me collect rubbish at Invercargill Estuary Walkway; a site that used to be the dump.
We collected 600 kg of rubbish, including copious plastic (some dated Best Before 2004), metal piping and hose.
We targeted the vegetation below the Bond Street Carpark hill; rubbish has begun seeping up through the soil and is liable to wash into the lagoon.
