Matariki Public Holiday

Well done New Zealand! Our calls to make Matariki a public holiday have been acknowledged by Jacinda Ardern and the New Zealand Labour Party.
While visiting Tamaki Maori Village - Rotorua, New Zealand, Jacinda stated "If we are honoured to be re-elected we will make Matariki a public holiday in New Zealand."
"It will not just be one designated day though, we want to honour what Matariki is by marking it as close to when it should be marked based on the lunar calendar … much like Easter moves around."
If re-elected, Matariki will become law in 2022.
Please vote between the 3rd - 17th of October for the 2020 General Election.
