New Zealand Fur Seal/Kekeno

Introducing the New Zealand fur seal. The New Zealand fur seal inhabit rocky shorelines throughout mainland New Zealand, the Chatham Islands and the subantarctic islands.
Adult females can grow up to 1.5 metres and weigh between 30 - 50 kg. Adult males can grow up to 2.5 metres and weigh between 90 - 150 kg.
They are excellent swimmers and divers; females have been known to dive to 240 metres.
They are classified as “Least Concern” on IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. May they remain of “Least Concern.”
