New Zealand Sea Lion/Pakake Forum 2021

Thank you to the Department of Conservation for inviting me to the annual New Zealand Sea Lion/Pakake Forum! It was a pleasure to be among dedicated individuals from the Department of Conservation, New Zealand Sea Lion Trust, Forest & Bird, Dunedin City Council and the Ministry for Primary Industries.

Hot topics were providing education to the public on New Zealand sea lions, working with communities and Ngāi Tahu Whānui to increase the sea lion population and restricting recreational vehicles on beaches.
